Acorn Tree Surgery, a leading provider of aboricultural services and Horticulture Week national Aboricultural Contractor of the Year 2007, has instructed Definition to assist in PQQ, tender and other marketing matters. Established in 1994, Acorn has since become a leader in its field, being quicker than most, for example, to recognise the importance of both professional and business accreditations such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
Today, Acorn has over half-a-dozen long-term local authority contracts plus similar contracts with housing associations and land-owning corporates. Its growing range of services include tree surgery, consultancy and reports, site clearance, project management and ground maintenance plus analysis using a host of technical equipment such as sub-meter Magellan GPS/mobile mapping and digital hypsometers (which, I am told, measure the height of buildings and trees).
