Case Study: Universa Debt
Legal Services Branding and Marketing for new Debt Collection Department of Universa Law, London
www.universadebt.co.uk

Task
Create a sub-brand sufficiently separate and business-like to appeal to corporate clients, without ‘rejecting’ the private-client focused identity of the greater organisation.
Solution
Instead creating a new logo, the existing logo was developed to identify the department and begin the process of creating a strongly corporate feel. Secondly, a new, independent website (i.e. not reached via the main Universa site) was created and strongly branded in a highly B2B fashion, in terms of both visual style and nomenclature. Finally, having worked with client staff in the preparatory stages on what made their services special, I was able to ensure that all of them were able to talk confidently about what they do and where it adds value. They thus all became ambassadors and salesmen and women for their services.
Results
Universa’s debt collection service has grown at a remarkable pace. Its manager, Graham Scott, has cited its clear identity and presentation as a key element in getting their message across and securing new business in a highly competitive market. I am currently helping Universa access new markets and to develop an innovative new service.
